APPEARANCE Erwin is an imposing man, standing tall and solidly built at a height of 6’2” with broad shoulders and sharp features. Like most other soldiers, he has a fit and muscular physique from years of training, physical conditioning, and combat. There is very little spare flesh to be found on him, and most of his weight can be attributed to muscle. He has short blonde hair, the longer portion of which he wears neatly parted to the left, the rest buzzed into an undercut around the back and sides. His eyes are an icy light blue, and often intense enough to be unnerving. In general he’s a classically handsome man, with a strong jaw, sharply defined cheekbones, and thick brows.

SHORT BIO Erwin is Commander of the Survey Corps, his world’s most daring and fatal military branch. He is a serious man on whom the duty and responsibility of his position weigh heavily, constantly burdened by guilt. He has dedicated his very life to the betterment of humanity’s position in the war against the Titans, but the goal is, for him, a more personal one: to discover the truth of the world and the reason for his father's death. He will sacrifice anything in order to achieve these goals, and has more than earned his reputation as ‘a man who will stain his hands with blood.’ Constantly planning, thinking ahead, but adaptable; a gifted strategist and improviser. Despite his reputation, he is kind and caring at heart, especially toward those he considers friends and others in his command. Easygoing when not austere, and capable of enjoying simple pleasures on the rare occasion that he is not doing or thinking about work.

Build: Muscles. No but seriously, he's well-built. Broad shoulders angle down to a tapered waist, with solid and well-defined musculature in his torso and arms, as well as his thick thighs, fit from years of training, physical conditioning, and combat. Little spare flesh to be found on him, and most of his weight can be attributed to muscle. Large feet and hands with long fingers.
Appearance: Tall, strong, blonde-haired-blue-eyed, uniformed, strict military posture, with some truly impressive eyebrows and outstanding cheekbones. Hot army dad material.
Body hair: Given that it's a medium blonde, it isn't very obvious against his skin, but it is present beneath his arms, on his forearms and shins, and more sparsely on his thighs. Faint trail of light hair from belly button to groin. Any chest hair is shaved off, as that can get pretty uncomfortable when you wear leather straps across your body every day. Always clean-shaven.
Scent: At home he smells of parchment, ink, leather, and horses. In Ariel it's mostly the neutral-scented soap and aftershave he uses, though those scents from home may still linger.

Clothes: Canon clothing is the bondage gear uniform above. He hasn't been wearing it much in Ariel. He's accumulated a selection of plain but tight-fitting pants in white, black, and khaki, as well as a couple pairs of jeans for work. He pairs them with button-ups, sweaters, or a light cotton t-shirt, the latter of which is probably the most flattering for him. When he has on a shirt with a collar, however, he does still wear his bolo tie.
Scars: Many. Most obvious are the friction burn scars and deep-set bruises corresponding to the straps of his uniform's harness, which he's acquired from twenty-five years of using the 3DMG. He also has a large and ugly scar branching over his right hip and a thick scar across the back of his left shoulder, both from training accidents in his youth involving the 3DMG's cables and grappling hook anchors. He has a number of other, smaller scars across his body, though notably one across the palm of his right hand, and a thin horizontal line across his throat just above where a typical dress shirt's collar would fall.

Feelings on said level: He has no desire to pursue wealth, but he is interested in learning more about the city. At his current level he isn't allowed everywhere and doesn't have the funds to do as much digging as he would like. With that in mind, he does want to move up the ladder.
Residence: Starter apartment. Stays at Levi's more often than his own, though. The couch is still more comfortable than his bed at home, so he isn't complaining.
Occupation: Currently putting that physique to good use doing old-fashioned construction work.

Vices of choice: Erwin is a hardass who doesn't allow himself much leeway for fun, so none, really. He'll occasionally have a drink or two, but never enough to get drunk, or even tipsy.
