[ Neat, concise, practical penmanship. Erwin does quite a lot of writing. ]
I would like to extend my thanks to those so quick to help newcomers. It is very much appreciated. Though I believe I am fairly well informed at this point, I have a few more specific questions:
Lastly: I ask that Jean Kirstein and Marco Bott contact me as soon as possible.

[ Erwin's been in Luceti only a few days, but he'd memorized the layout of the village on the first. Food, clothing, weapons--he knows where to find these things, and he's been noting all of the smaller shops besides. He's far from content, but he is adapting, though still on high alert. He is well aware already that there is little he will be able to do immediately. But he can prepare to do more, and that is precisely what he is planning on.
He can be found at the smithy looking at weapons, at the grocery store (Levi wants non-perishables, wants to stock up), sitting outside looking through his journal--green cape around his shoulders, hiding his wings with more wings--or just about anywhere else by appointment. ]
[ warning: there will likely be spoilers for recent attack on titan manga chapters in castmembers' threads. while we won't drop spoilers on someone unrelated, if you're reading along, beware! ]

I would like to extend my thanks to those so quick to help newcomers. It is very much appreciated. Though I believe I am fairly well informed at this point, I have a few more specific questions:
- Have you ever been drafted for service in the war? Volunteered for it? If so, what was asked of you?
- How frequently are you and/or those you know taken in for experimentation? If you have first-hand experience with this, do you recall what happened?
- Based on your experiences in Luceti, what is your personal opinion of the Malnosso?
Lastly: I ask that Jean Kirstein and Marco Bott contact me as soon as possible.

Written -> Action
[Five minutes later, Law walks into the plaza and... yes, there he is. Easy to spot, not only because of the height, but the unfamiliar features and the sheer focused intensity the man wore about him like a cloak.
The pirate captain wouldn't be surprised if Mister Smith had drawn the attention of every passer by.
Law himself is also easy to spot - nearly 6'4, he stands above the general crowd as well. He's dressed casually and practically for the weather, with the only notable accessories being a hat made of spotted fur and two small gold hoops in each ear. What's probably more attention getting is the nodachi he's carrying - the large sword is comfortably resting against his shoulder as he strolls with it like the weight is nothing.
He approaches without hesitation, cool but interested appraisal in his eyes.]
Erwin Smith?
[And here's the kicker about Law. He has possesses the exact same voice as Levi, down to the infections. Tone's different, perhaps - Levi might not ever do polite - but that might make it even more eerie.]
Action
If he were going by sound only, when he hears his name, Erwin would have been certain it must be Levi--but why would Levi have to ask who he is when he knows damn well? (Besides which, he would never be so civil about it.) But he is looking straight at him, and this man is most certainly not Levi. ]
Correct.
[ Yeah, 'eerie' is definitely a good way to describe it. Not many people manage to be taller than Erwin, and hearing Levi's voice from a man who is just doesn't seem right. Law can probably read his confusion in the tightening of his mouth and the furrowing of his brow. ]
It occurs to me now that I failed to ask for your name in return.
[ He's extending a hand to shake anyway, despite the oddness he's feeling. ]
Action
Law takes it, grip firm, and careful not to squeeze too hard. Though not to the degree of some of his immediate rivals in his world, the man does have an unnatural degree of strength and it's always wise to be careful.
Though he wonders what it is about his voice that's getting that reaction. Does he sound like someone from his home? That would be the most logical conclusion.]
I'm Trafalgar Law. I head the clinic at the Battle Dome. [He doesn't bother with his own titles. That it can be either Captain Law or Doctor Law. Titles and what you did back home mean nothing in Luceti. It's what you did in the village that earned you your respect.] It's nice to meet you. As nice as it ever is to meet someone in this place.
Action
Erwin has done some musing on the nature of titles himself; he maintains his because he has subordinates here to take responsibility for. It would be meaningless to call himself 'commander' without them. ]
Trafalgar Law. [ Repeating the name as they shake hands before he releases his own grip. ] I think I am beginning to understand your sentiments, in that regard.
[ It's a necessity to meet people here, not a pleasure. At least that's something they both understand. ]
Thank you for meeting with me. I understand the possible dangers of sharing certain opinions over the journal system.
Action
Aaa... [So you do. There's a small incline of his head to say as much. Savvy man. There's no end of benefit to networking (problems too, but that's an inherent risk), not in a shrouded, ever shifting world where information was power and a contact could prove invaluable in innumerable ways in a moment's notice.] It's not a problem.
I believe it. There's always a danger in sharing one's thoughts, even when they aren't being recorded in some fashion... [A quirk of lips. As this man well knows.] ... and this... Well. As useful as it is, it simply isn't worth it when it comes to things that could be compromising.
Action
Words are as dangerous as actions in many ways. [ Which holds true anywhere, and with anyone, but most especially here, where those in power can listen at will. ] I am certain that even my questioning will not go unnoticed.
[ Law particularly hadn't been keen to discuss what he thinks of the Malnosso. Smart, really. But after three years, shouldn't they already know what he thinks of them? ]
Would you like to find somewhere indoors to talk?
Action
[There's more than the Malnosso listening on the journal. There's a broader audience - the village. There's sentiments you express because they're expected... and there's more conciliatory gestures made in private. Then there's what one does when presented an opportunity.
So do they know how he really feels? He has good reasons to think they wonder.]
Certainly. Are you a fan of tea?
Action; sorry again for the long wait!
[ Those who question are those who make a difference, after all. And those are the sort of people Erwin wants to know--both here, and at home. ]
I am. Tea would be wonderful.
Action; No worries!
[Though Law won't tell Erwin of everyone. That he wants to see if the man can figure out for himself in time.]
Celsius Tear, I think. It shouldn't be terribly busy at this time of day.
